LG India is venturing into business models with its MYPC project, which is expected to kick-start in March this year.

The business model of MYPC will be on the built to order concept, and is being targeted towards large enterprises.

The company is also focusing on aggressively targeting the government sector with its latest launch. With the built to order concept, LG would not just concentrate on large orders, but is also all geared up to entertain micro level orders as well.

All orders would be required to be placed with LG’s corporate resellers across the country.

R. Manikandan, DGM sales and marketing, IT products, said, “The built to order concept has worked well in large numbers, and we will be committed in fulfilling micro level orders as well. For example, even if the order is as small as 5 PC’s, we will take it.”

Manikandan added, “Logistics is one area that we are focusing on, as we understand that to support the built to order concept, extensive logistics is required. Being the only MNC with the largest chain of branch offices across the country, we are sure that we will be able to meet the demand.”

PC’s for the business segment will be available in two different models, EPCN21AC and EPCN21AX. The 21AC will be a Pentium IV 2.0 Ghz based system, and will be priced at Rs 22,000 + a 15 inch Monitor.

21AX is a Pentium IV 2.0 Ghz based machine without MM, priced at Rs 21,000 + a 15 inch Monitor. Both models will be bundled with the Linux Operating System.
