Narvar Appoints Srivatsa Narasimhan As India VP
Narvar, the company which provides shipping and delivery solutions platform for retailers, has appointed Srivatsa Narasimhan as Vice President of India Operations.
Srivatsa will be responsible for building and scaling the India organization to enable the growth plans of the company globally, while helping establish Narvar’s presence in emerging Asia-Pacific markets. His appointment follows Narvar’s acquisition of GoPigeon, an end-to-end logistics management SaaS platform in India, in August.
“Our recent acquisition of GoPigeon was an important first step in building our global engineering and product resource to speed platform development,” said Amit Sharma, Founder and CEO of Narvar. “We’re now excited to welcome Srivatsa to scale the team in India, as well as develop the market opportunity in the APAC region.”
Narvar powers two billion experiences for more than 125 million consumers per year after they click “buy”, through its client base of more than 400 brands and retailers like Levi’s, Gap, and TUMI. As an enterprise-grade SaaS platform, Narvar invests in continuous product development and innovation, notably targeted at emerging consumer channels including AI-powered chatbots. Narvar powers bots on Facebook Messenger for 370 retailers, which have facilitated 3.8 million incremental brand interactions within months of launch, the company said in a statement.
Narasimhan brings more than twenty years of experience in engineering, product management, and services spanning domains like enterprise products, social gaming, and telecom. Most recently, as General Manager of Zynga India, Srivatsa managed a portfolio of three global game products generating $15M a quarter, while building and leading a team of 100+, it said.
“Narvar is fundamentally changing how retailers globally manage their customer relationships after they’ve made a purchase, and increasing customer lifetime value as a result,” said Narasimhan. “Our aim is to make Narvar India instrumental to the success of the organization worldwide, and that starts with creating a world-class team.”
