New Solution Helps Retail Pharmacy Save Rs 1 Lakh pa

For a retail pharmacy, controlling stocks is key, while maintaining the minimum stocks for required items. Keeping this particular characteristic in mind, Essel Software and Services Ltd., has launched an exclusive software solution - Retail Pharmasoft, designed to help faster billing, control stocks, thus enhancing profitability for medical retail traders.

Speaking to CXOtoday, Sridhar Narra, MD, Essel Software & Services Ltd., said, “Retail pharmaceutical players are extremely positive about deploying this solution as they can save a minimum of Rs 50,000 to 1 lakh per annum using this solution.”

Examining the key problems faced by the retail pharma industry, Narra explained, “Players in this industry incur substantial amount of losses due to the following three culprits: first, expiries tracking. Second, the problem of excess stock due to lack of structured handling. And third, dealing with the problem of missing stocks, due to absence of control.”

According to Narra, the centralized client/server application is extremely user friendly and even a novice can learn to use this application within two to three hours. The solution comes with pre-loaded 25,000 items and required Accounts, which means, users can start using the package immediately.

Moreover, the billing tools enables users to generate bills by adding items. Even sales returns and indents are covered from screen. According to the company, with tools like loose sales, even individual tablets billing can be consolidated easily and instantly. Additional features include capabilities like Touch Screen control, wherein users can use this application, with help of a finger alone.

VAT reports and VAT documents, which are required for submission can be generated directly. Apart from this, A2 Returns and Form-E are also provided.

In terms of pricing, Narra stated that a single user would cost Rs 9,950, while a two user version is priced at Rs 12,950. The minimum hardware requirements for deploying this solution is Pentium 4, with 256 MB RAM and 40 GB HDD.
