Nokia unfurls Nokia E7 - business smartphone
Nokia recently unfurled Nokia E7, business smartphone, which boasts of Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync support alongside a 4-inch amoled touchscreen display, which uses ClearBlack technology and has a slide out four-row QWERTY keyboard.
“Consumers today, seek a device that allows them to do a lot more – both in their personal and professional lives. Nokia E7 is an all-in-one business smartphone that offers a superior ‘mobile office’ experience coupled with compelling entertainment options,” remarked D. Shivakumar, VP and MD, Nokia India.
The company also informed that it has tied up with Vodafone to offer 2GB data per month free for 6 months, on 3G and 2G (for both pre-paid and post paid consumers). The consumers just have to insert Vodafone SIM to activate the offer.
The smartphone incorporates full suite of multimedia and over 10,000 pieces of locally relevant content on the Ovi Store, optimized for the Nokia E7. This includes 3 business channels in a Web TV format, which can be downloaded free of cost from the Ovi Store. It features applications like Mail for Exchange, IBM Lotus Notes Traveler, Quick office Dynamic Premium, Vlingo, Adobe PDF reader, World traveler App, F-Secure anti-theft software for mobile and Nokia Ovi Maps with free GPS navigation. Users can open, read, create and edit office documents, presentations, etc.
Unveiling the handset, brand ambassador Shahrukh Khan said, “I have used the Nokia E7 for over a month. I am totally hooked to it and it has become my constant business companion. Not only does it keep me connected to my business at all times but it helps me stay close to my friends and family wherever I am.”
The smartphone will be available across the country with Nokia Priority Stores (initially), at price of Rs. 29,999. Easy payment scheme are also available for customers, who can pay for it in three equal monthly installments (EMI) at zero percent interest. The scheme is available through over 176 Nokia Priority outlets across select cities. Nokia has tied up with Citibank, HDFC Bank, Standard Chartered and ICICI Bank for the Easy EMI scheme and the offer will be available to consumers with credit cards only from any of these four banks, stated the company.
