Paytm Expands Reach, Collaborates With Renault KWID
Renault India and Paytm announced a strategic tie-up that provides customers with another option to effortlessly book Renault KWID. Customers can simply book online or pay the booking amount at dealerships with their Paytm Wallets. Known for its innovative initiatives that are in line with the latest customer trends, the partnership is a strategic move by Renault to leverage the growing preference for cashless transactions in India.
All variants of the fast-selling car will be available for booking on Paytm in the Delhi-NCR area at the onset. Going forward, Paytm and Renault will extend this partnership at a pan-India level with other models of the brand also available for booking on the platform.
Renault is the first car brand to forge a partnership with Paytm. Customers now have the option to book Renault KWID for an amount of INR 10,000 on Paytm, and they can avail attractive offers on the booking within a stipulated period. As part of the alliance, Paytm will also be installing its mobile wallet payment option at Renault dealerships for higher consumer engagement.
“Innovation is synonymous with Renault and it is reflected in every part of our business, from the way our cars are made, to the way they are presented to the customer. With Renault KWID, we have completely reinvented the traditional expectations of the entry car segment in India, with an offering that is attractive, innovative and affordable. Customer innovations that we introduced with the launch of this car included a mobile booking app and a virtual showroom through which we reached out to a wide set of customers. Through our partnership with Paytm, we will make Renault KWID further accessible to new-age customers who prefer online platforms and cashless transactions, with an easy and proficient experience,” said Virat Khullar, Head - Marketing, Renault India, while commenting on the collaboration.
“Paytm has received an overwhelming response to its two-wheeler category. Buoyed by this traction, we have partnered with Renault to extend our offerings to encompass cars. The KWID has performed exceptionally well in India with an outstanding response from customers across the country. We are proud to launch our four-wheeler category with KWID and make it more accessible for our large customer base,” said Paytm Vice President, Renu Satti while speaking on the association with Renault.
The global launch of the Renault KWID in India last year was a progressive step by Renault to pursue its strategy of accessible mobility for all and step up its international growth. The compact hatchback KWID has generated unprecedented success and mirrors Renault’s progressive vision of the automobile. KWID has been a true game-changer and volume driver for Renault India, and has firmly etched the brand as a leader in India’s automotive industry.
Paytm has a user base of more than 125 million people, and aims to increase this to half a billion people. Paytm expects that the car vertical will be the highest growing category in its online shopping platform, and will further build its association with Renault to best suit its customers.
