Red Hat Signs Training Partners In Chandigarh

Red Hat announced today the addition of two new companies, Eon Infotech and Silicon Comnet as their authorized training partners, for its training and certification program in Chandigarh.

Red Hat’s diverse course offerings range from basic Linux administration skills such as system administration and networking to specific areas of expertise, such as kernel internals, clustering and security. All courses are designed to create a basis for further development and real-world practice, the release stated. Its Red Hat Certified Engineer
(RHCE) and Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT) are highly valued among professionals as they are an actual measure of performance tested through live implementation.

Harpreet Randhawa, chief executive, Eon Infotech, said, “Partnering with Red Hat will help us offer quality Linux training to the students of Chandigarh. This initiative will also help us contribute towards meeting the acute shortfall of skilled Linux professionals in the region.”

Meanwhile, Harsh Marwah, CEO, Silicon Comnet Pvt. Ltd. said, ” Red Hat Certified Engineer is the most sought after Linux certification. Our partnership with Red Hat will go a long way in meeting the growing demand for Red Hat’s Training and Certification program in Chandigarh.”

In 2003 Red Hat trained over 6500 students with around 1000 Red Hat Certified Engineers presently in India- the largest number outside the United States. Added Shankar Iyer, head - learning services at Red Hat India, “Red Hat Learning Services are available with over 50 training partners at over 90 locations across India. This year we plan to double our authorized Training Partner network. We would like to reach out to the larger number of students in non-metro cities.”
