Partha
Iyengar, head (research) of Gartner said it is imperative for the new owner of
Satyam to move quickly to restore complete confidence in clients, employees,
and investors, in that order. Iyengar also said integration plans should not be
delayed and management changes, if any, should be made within the first 60 days
after acquisition.

Doing these things in a coordinated manner will cause the sentiment around Satyam
to stabilize and hasten a return to ‘business as usual’ for the company, he
said.

Meanwhile, S Gopalakrishnan, CEO of Infosys Technologies, praised the
Satyam board for bringing the Satyam issue to a speedy conclusion. It is
commendable that the government-appointed board at Satyam has been able to
bring a closure to the uncertainty surrounding Satyam s future. The government
has addressed the issue quickly and responsibly. Overall, it is a good thing that
the issue is put behind us, he said.
