Zebra Technologies has appointed Ryan Goh as the new Vice President and General Manager of Asia Pacific. Goh brings with him more than 15 years of regional leadership experience in both Zebra Technologies and Motorola Solutions.

This assignment follows eight successful years of leading the region as Zebra APAC’s Vice President of Sales, where he was instrumental in building a strong sales structure and developing Zebra’s award-winning PartnersFirst programme across Asia Pacific.

Goh succeeds Rod Rodericks who delivered significant contributions to the success of Zebra’s APAC region prior to the acquisition close and also was instrumental in driving the APAC integration efforts. Rod is undertaking projects associated with the recent acquisition before retiring at the end of the year.

This announcement follows Zebra’s successful acquisition of the Motorola Solutions’ Enterprise business last year, which has affirmed the company’s lead in the provision of end-to-end solutions in the Enterprise Asset Intelligence category worldwide—helping businesses to gain real-time visibility into assets, people and transactions.

Anders Gustafsson, Global Chief Executive Officer, Zebra Technologies said, “Asia Pacific is a key growth region for Zebra, now more than ever, with the rise of smart cities and a workforce that is smarter and more connected. These megatrends present an abundance of opportunities for Zebra and our partners, to help enterprises and governments take advantage of this connected age with Zebra’s solutions that drive improved productivity and enhanced customer experiences.”

Gustafsson also said, “And so, I am delighted to announce the appointment of Ryan to lead Zebra’s rapid expansion across Asia Pacific. I’m confident that under Ryan’s leadership, we will raise Zebra’s performance in APAC to a new level and inspire even closer relationships with our valued partners across the region.”

Ryan Goh, Vice President and General Manager, Zebra Technologies APAC said, “Representing about 15% of Zebra’s total sales, APAC remains a key focus towards Zebra’s ambition to becoming a global leader in Enterprise Asset Intelligence.”

There is also great potential for the growth of IoT solutions in the region with a recent Forrester study affirming that over 85% of APAC firms believe that IoT solutions will be the most strategic technology initiative for their organization in a decade. “I have great confidence in our extensive local partnerships as well as the capabilities of my team. We look forward to enabling and empowering enterprises in the region to become as smart and connected as the world we live in,” he said.
