SBI Life Insurance to implement Document System

SBI Life is going to add a Document Management System to its IT inventory, and plans to deploy it at all its branches.

Branches are connected to the Mumbai head office through either ISDN or lease lines. Smaller offices are connected through PSTN lines.

The SBI Life IT system is web-centric, and is backed by a Portal that is accessible by agents, partners, clients and employees. The portal runs a corporate intranet, which enables sharing of information across all employees. A Channel Management software has also been deployed to assist the sales force.

The branches are connected over a 64 KBPS line or a ISDN Connection, and the Mumbai HO is powered by a 2MBPS lease line
