IT majors are increasingly catching on to the latest trends such as Internet of Things (IoT) and smart connected devices. Wipro which is already in the forefront of innovation in this area, has recently partnered with streaming analytics company Software AG, to address the huge market potential created by streaming analytics in conjunction with IoT and other emerging technologies.
The new solution will provide enterprises with a competitive edge by responding to events in real-time with unlimited scalability, said the company.
“Wipro has developed a streaming analytics based IoT solution platform, with a unique architectural framework called ‘Wipro Looking Glass’. In the first release, Wipro is leveraging Software AG’s Big Data Streaming Analytics product suite. The platform provides enterprises with a fast and easy entry into the vast business possibilities offered by the IoT,” said the company.
Wipro Looking Glass current version embeds Software AG’s Streaming Analytics product suite which is designed to integrate, capture, analyze and respond to IoT data. The solution components include a real-time analytics engine, in memory database technology, a real-time user interface and mashup technologies. These components are proven to scale in high speed and big data environments, in various industries such as financial services, manufacturing, supply chain and telecommunications.
Wipro Looking Glass can be run both on-premise as well as hosted in a single cloud or multiple clouds simultaneously. Through leading edge data management technologies, this platform offers unlimited scalability to the enterprise. The foundation framework allows for the flexible and rapid development of customer specific solutions at a lower cost and reduced risk. With cloud hosted analytics and algorithms that are accessible by digital sensors and devices, actions like process updates, event responses and machine behavior can be effortlessly implemented.
