CIOs Are Expected to be Zen Masters [Video Interview]

CIO

The roles of Chief Information Officers (CIOs) in business have been evolving in recent years. However, the changed work conditions imposed by the pandemic places an even greater responsibility on CIOs.

In a recent video interview with CXOToday, Natarajan Radhakrishnan, CIO at Hinduja Global Solutions (HGS), who brings in a wide experience of over three decades, explains how the new remote workforce demands CIOs to become central in ensuring a technology backbone that enables business continuity.

This also ensures that CIOs today, do not just drive a technology agenda, but a business technology agenda that aims to enable business growth and value creation, enhances customer experience (CX), and makes business processes run efficiently, says the IIM- Ahmedabad alumnus.

Radhakrishnan believes in that sense, that CIOs are expected to be Zen Masters. They need to be multi-dimensional with knowledge of strategy, finance, people, technology and business.

As the world turns digital and IT leaders are increasingly part of a company’s management, it’s up for them to take the necessary steps by being flexible and agile with a willingness to learn and adapt to every new situation.

Watch the video interview with Natarajan Radhakrishnan (below) to get more insights on how CIOs can challenge old perceptions and transform IT into a core driver of business value in times of crisis and beyond.
