  • Ei ASSET was awarded ‘Silver’ in the Learning Assessment Award

  • Ei Mindspark Wins ‘Bronze’ in E-Learning category

Ei, South Asia’s leading EdTech company has been awarded not one but two awards at the QS – Wharton Reimagine Awards that was held at Abu Dabi on 11-13 December. The jury awarded Silver to Ei ASSET (a skill-based, diagnostic and benchmarking assessment that has been used by over 15 million students worldwide) and Bronze to Ei Mindspark (a Personalised Adaptive Learning Software that has gone through five independent evaluations by the likes of Harvard, J-Pal and others showing 2 to 8x learning gains in students) in the Learning Assessment category and the E-Learning category, respectively.

The QS-Wharton Reimagine Education Awards & Conference is an international platform that celebrates innovative approaches to enhancing learning outcomes and employability for a billion future learners. The Reimagine Education Awards honours the exceptional efforts of educators, institutions, and EdTechs in preparing learners for the challenges of the future. Over 1200 submissions from around the globe were evaluated by a panel of 500+ international expert judges. Some of the previous well-known winners of these awards include IIT Madras, the University of Sydney and the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL). Incidentally, Ei Mindspark had also won the QS Reimagine’s AI in Education Award in 2022.

The learning assessment award highlights the quality of assessments that Ei ASSET conducts. The thought-provoking questions asked in the Ei ASSET test the conceptual understanding, unlike traditional exam questions that check rote memorisation and peripheral facts.

Ei Mindspark was awarded ‘Bronze’ in the E-learning category for its unique AI-powered Personalised Adaptive Learning format that fosters self-learning and uses a remedial feature to ensure students are learning at the right level. The learning solution, integrating OpenAI’s GPT-4, provides instant feedback on subjective answers and allows students to create visual stories or sequences to enhance their understanding.

Speaking on the occasion of Ei’s win at the QS Reimagine Education Awards, Sridhar Rajagopalan, Chief Learning Officer at Ei said, “We are honoured by the recognition our products have received. While there has been significant progress in the Personalised Adaptive Learning domain, as exemplified by the recognition of Ei Mindspark at QS Reimagine and the several accolades we have received in the past, the recognition for Ei ASSET particularly highlights the crucial need and our commitment to advance in the realm of diagnostic, skill-based assessments and highlights the need for schools to empanel third-party assessments to measure student learning outcomes.

Pranav Kothari, CEO of Ei highlighted the role of partnerships for creating measurable impact and said, “At Ei, learning outcomes are at the centre of everything we do. To this end, we believe that measurable learning outcomes can only be achieved if EdTechs work alongside traditional school systems. Our solutions enable both teachers and students. With Ei ASSET we help teachers understand the strengths and weaknesses of students and with Ei Mindspark, we become learning partners for both teachers and students to ensure teachers are teaching at the right level and students are learning at the right level. This award is a result of our strong and continued partnership with schools across the world.
