Forecasting 2024: AR/VR Technologies’ Explosive Demand and Innovation

CXOToday has engaged  in an exclusive interview withAnuj Gupta, Enterprise and Sales Lead at AutoVRse

  1. How AutoVRse is assisting Fortune 2000 companies with their innovative technology?

Our cutting-edge technological solutions are designed to tackle a wide range of problems in different fields. We have implemented a variety of solutions to match the particular requirements of each client, whether it is improving marketing strategies or transforming training programs. For example, we developed Automated Sequenced Torquing and remote assistance in partnership with John Deere and Ultratech, giving manufacturing workers real-time guidance during injection and maintenance processes. Clients like Grasim, Ultratech, Tata, and Shell have all greatly benefited from our technology in the areas of safety and process training. We have provided workers involved in various manufacturing processes with immersive learning opportunities. Furthermore, businesses like Bosch, Birla Carbon, and Shell have used our Product Configurators solutions to make product marketing more dynamic and immersive. Our Plant Walkthroughs, which highlight end-to-end manufacturing processes and are useful tools for client visits and employee onboarding, have benefited Godrej, Piramal, and Grasim.

2. AutoVRse’s complete digital makeover has brought Birla’s Carbon into the global spotlight

Birla Carbon needed a versatile tool to boost both public awareness and sales efforts, so we created one. We created an offline and online Web3D application that functions as a dynamic marketing tool. We gained extensive industry knowledge about Carbon Blacks during the development process, ensuring that the virtual showroom was seamlessly integrated with backend systems and that loading times were optimized to a mere 15 seconds. Users can explore a car in this interactive showroom, where carbon black-containing components are highlighted and linked pop-up text provides more in-depth information. By using this virtual showroom in roadshows, events, sales meetings, and social media, Birla Carbon’s worldwide awareness has increased dramatically. The redesigned digital image, the revitalized phone application, the industry-first Web XR innovation, the integration of XR training into manufacturing processes, and the impressive 2X increase in incoming leads are all evidence of the impacts.

3. What are the projected demands for these technologies in 2024?

By 2024, there will undoubtedly be a massive increase in demand for AR and VR technologies. With a projected $3 billion market for training alone, more than 3500 businesses with annual sales over $200 million are preparing to produce 50–100 training modules at a cost of up to $1 million. Businesses are investing in immersive product configurators and compelling brand campaigns, which is expected to propel the $2 billion experiential marketing and sales industry. There will soon be exciting developments in AR/VR hardware, including lighter headsets and better haptic feedback systems, which should lead to increased accessibility and user-friendliness. Expect improved graphics, lower latency, and the capacity to stream high-quality content, all of which will enhance the AR/VR experience with the revolutionary arrival of 5G networks. To top it all off, in 2024, some exciting virtual reality headsets are set to be unveiled, such as the Valve “Deckard,” PICO 5 Pro, and Apple Vision Pro. In the AR/VR space, 2024 may mark a significant turning point.

4. How AR and VR cutting-edge technologies are shaping a more sustainable future. How AutoVRse assists in creating a sustainable future using their cutting-edge technologies?

At AutoVRse, we are at the forefront of using the newest AR and VR technologies to actively shape a sustainable future. By strategically utilising AR and VR to optimize a range of industrial processes, we are demonstrating our commitment to sustainability. We are redefining design processes, facilitating virtual prototyping, and optimizing manufacturing workflows through the introduction of immersive experiences. This is lowering the environmental impact of conventional production methods and increasing resource efficiency. Our use of AR and VR in training programs also drastically lowers the need for travel and physical prototypes, which significantly lowers our carbon footprint. Experts can improve their skills without incurring the environmental costs associated with traditional training methods, thanks to our simulation and virtual training. As a company that is committed to developing cutting-edge AR and VR technologies, we are essentially helping to create a sustainable future by promoting an environmentally conscious and sustainable industrial landscape.

4. Journey to become an enterprise and sales head, and to become a leading VR/AR solution provider globally.

I first immersed myself in the development process to test the technology’s strength, potential, and viability. It took six months to close the first deal after moving into sales, but it cleared the path for team growth and the development of a strong sales force. We went into the Asian market as a team of four, and as my responsibilities increased, I was in charge of marketing and sales as well as managing a staff of seven that included strategy, PR, and social media. As COVID-19 spread, a tactical change was made, temporarily discontinuing marketing in order to reduce expenses and concentrate on increasing sales. Securing a significant deal was a turning point for us, prompting the team to be rebuilt, particularly in inside sales and digital marketing to increase inbound leads. The emphasis changed as the role moved into an enterprise one, from project delivery to quality improvement, and this culminated in the opening of a US office and expansion into US markets. The journey has been changing, and we are still going strong in our efforts to make AutoVRse the industry leader in VR/AR solutions.

5. How AutoVRse can assist enterprises in growing their financial performance?

Our goal at AutoVRse is to improve the financial performance of businesses, and we can do that. In terms of speeding up sales, virtual reality is a game-changer. In addition to captivating your audience, virtual showrooms and online product configurators also directly increase sales. Then there is the productivity angle: by reducing training time, we optimize and boost worker efficiency, which ultimately strengthens your bottom line. And let us not forget about the branding potential of VR and AR. In addition to strengthening your position as an innovator, we are also gaining a larger foothold in the market by developing immersive brand experiences. At AutoVRse, we go beyond simply offering you solutions; we act as financial growth accelerators, assisting businesses in thriving in today’s dynamic business environment.

6. What job opportunities are available in the AR VR industry?

There are tons of exciting job opportunities in the dynamic AR/VR industry! There are Unity Developers who work with code to create magic, and artistic maestros – 3D artists of various flavors such as modelers, animators, and level designers. Then there is the exciting world of game developers creating immersive experiences, not to mention the meticulous VR Quality Assurance (QA) personnel ensuring everything runs smoothly. Content is transformed into captivating experiences by instructional designers, who add the educational touch. Project managers are also responsible for keeping everything running smoothly. The diversity of this industry is what makes it so beautiful; everyone can contribute their special skills, whether they are in coding, designing, managing, or quality assurance. With AR and VR technology always changing, this is more than just a job—it is an adventure.

7. The concept of a virtual showroom and its importance.

A virtual showroom is similar to a high-tech upgrade to the traditional product configurator, but with a twist – a completely new environment to explore. You get to alter the backdrop in its entirety in addition to changing the product. The best part is that it is not a one-way street. The product allows you to play with its features, make customizations, and interact with it while seeing the changes instantly. This is not just about visuals; it is about making decisions faster by providing users with more hands-on information. From a commercial view, it is a marketing and sales phenomenon that transforms a product demonstration into a fully immersive event. It involves more than just selling; it also involves giving users an interesting experience.
