IT company Kilowott delivers talk on sustainable tech practices, ethical riders at Oslo meet

Kilowott, a Goa-based IT firm with a global footprint, featured at the recently convened roundtable discussion at the Norway India Business Day, hosted by the Norway India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI) in Oslo, and discussed emerging technological trends in artificial intelligence (AI), ethical and legal considerations surrounding them, the role of governments and regulators, as well as sustainability.

 

Judah Fernandez, co-founder of the Goa-based tech powerhouse, Kilowott, also participated in a roundtable discussion at the Norway event, which included Inge Brodersen, partner at Schjødt, Knut B. Steen, advisor at CrowdWorks and was moderated by Venkata Gandikota, co-founder of InnoFrugal. Other well-known Indian tech giants that participated in the event were Tata Consultancy Services and LTI Mindtree.

 

At the roundtable discussion, Fernandez, who’s Kilowott operates across three continents and services several Fortune 500 companies, spoke on the potential of AI and other emerging technologies to transform the clean energy sector, fostering a more sustainable future.

 

“The key to sustainable technologies lies in nurturing a collaborative landscape where ethical considerations and inclusive practices propel our technological evolution towards a greener, more equitable future,” said Fernandez, while highlighting the importance of ethical and legal considerations in technology development, emphasising the role of governments and regulators in ensuring an inclusive and equitable technology landscape for the future.

 

The international event offered an opportunity for Norwegian companies interested in business opportunities in India, catering to Indian companies seeking green solutions from Norway, as well as to Indian companies exploring investment prospects in the Nordic nation.  The Norway India Business Day event offered a meeting point for Indian and Norwegian tech brands to converge, featuring inclusive programming such as B2B meetings, plenary and breakout sessions and a networking reception.

 

The Norway India Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been working with businesses, governments and other stakeholders to develop a framework to ensure that the future of work is inclusive and sustainable.

 

The event was organised to foster a strategic alliance between Norway and India. With Norway’s strong foothold in renewable energy, circular economy and ocean-related initiatives, the goal of the event was to facilitate collaboration in emerging technologies and green transitions by offering a platform for networking and discussions among business visionaries and thought leaders.
