Simeio, a global provider of identity and access management (IAM)  solutions, that meets the unique needs of customers in banks, hotels, and major retailers, had been facing a unique problem. The Mumbai-based company, set up in 2008, taps into talent details in different locations—including North America and India—and in turn helps executives to make faster decisions, such as compensation packages for IAM consultants, was at an increased risk of losing top talent to competitors in the identity management industry.

They were expected to allow managers to quickly identify highly skilled employees and focus on retention, such as developing career pathways over the next three to five years. But the task seemed challenging

With over 400 employees working onboard, there was also a need to reduce HR staff workload and improve candidate and employee experience by replacing manual processes with self-service functions and enabling HR managers to perform valuable tasks.

Vivek Vinayak Purekar, Vice President, Simeio Solutions explains the reason for selecting Oracle over its competitors. “Compared to other providers, Oracle offers the most seamless and comprehensive HR modules and works well for a midsize segment like us. Oracle Human Capital Management Cloud is also very easy to use, not just for HR, but for other LOB employees as well.” He said.

Wipro assisted Simeio in implementing Oracle HCM Cloud and provided post-implementation support. The entire project went live on time and within budget.

“With Wipro’s extensive experience and knowledge of the industry, they really understand our needs and develop an integrated platform based on Oracle HCM Cloud that supports our continuous growth over the next few years,” Purekar said.

Simeio worked with Oracle Partner, Wipro Ltd., and Oracle Sales Consulting to build an integrated Oracle HCM Cloud for all office locations. It started to define the project scope and design process documents. Simeio then validated the data and migrated to the new platform in less than four months.

The results were remarkable. With weeks of deployment, candidate profiles went by up to 30% and helped senior managers rapidly identify the right talent by standardizing HR processes across multiple locations and expanding sourcing channels, such as career sites, LinkedIn, job boards, and employee referral schemes, with a single solution, Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud.

The new solution also helped Simeio enhance the brand reputation as a caring and efficient company and improved the ability to attract the best-of-the-best talent in the IAM industry. It generated offers to candidates three times faster—in less than 2 days rather than up to 6 days—by leveraging Oracle HCM Cloud’s flexible features to easily configure employment contract for different positions

“To maximize the outcome, you need to know the product first, understand the capabilities, and then you can start using it,” Purekar tipped off.
