Syntellect, an India-based global Fintech Startup Banking the unbanked selected for Google for Startups Accelerator: Women Founders Program

Syntellect, an India-based global affordable housing fintech startup focusing on banking the unbanked is proud to announce its selection for the prestigious Google for Startups Accelerator: Women Founders Program. The company’s flagship product, ‘RightProfile™,’ utilizes data science, AI, ML, statistics, specialized programming, and advanced analytics to deliver actionable insights and decision intelligence to lenders worldwide, tailored to the top 20 industries.

The Google for Startups Accelerator program is strategically designed to nurture and support women entrepreneurs in India harnessing technology to address complex societal challenges. Among the 300 applications, Google India chose 20 women entrepreneurs including Sumedha Salunkhe Naik, CEO and founder of Syntellect. This initiative aims to boost women’s presence in India’s digital workforce, encompassing entrepreneurship and upskilling, to make technology universally relevant and beneficial.

As India becomes the world’s most populated country with 1.4 billion people, housing, particularly for low-income urban households, remains a longstanding challenge. In response, the Indian government launched the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in 2015, providing affordable housing and eliminating housing shortages in both rural and urban areas. In 2022, the PMAY program delivered 6.5 million completed houses in urban areas, demonstrating the potential for accelerated financial inclusion.

Similarly understanding the drivers of income and loan feasibility among low-income households, Sumedha, founder of Syntellect launched – “RightProfile™ in 2017. This innovative solution empowers lenders with intelligent insight to assess the financial standing of underserved and unbanked low-income informal customers, thereby promoting financial inclusion for a diverse range of individuals. Since its inception the platform has created customer profiles for more than 14,000 clients, earning acclaim from esteemed global institutions in the process.
