Robopreneurs To Emerge Amid Pandemic Triggered Disruptions: Analyst

Sophia, one of the most famous humanoids developed by Hong Kong-based Hanson Robotics that emerged in 2016 has proved that human-like robots, also known as Humanoids, may no longer be confined to our imagination. But Sophia is not alone in the race. With significant advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics applications in many services, the future of humanoid-type robots looks optimistic in various sectors – including healthcare, banking, retail, and hospitality and manufacturing.

The global Covid-19 pandemic has also accelerated the need for such robots with many of these humanoids are transforming the way businesses are done. These entities are not just simplifying many applications and carrying out tasks more diligently than humans, but are also giving more time for humans to focus on other areas of their lives.

Chief Analyst of 5Jewels Research Sumant Parimal predicts that Robopreneurs will emerge aggressively amid pandemic triggered frequent disruptions.

Speaking about the effectiveness of humanoid-type robots in the current scenario, the analyst says, “As new variants of Covid-19 hits around the World, countries started imposing fresh restrictions like previous years, threatening again people’s works, businesses, and economies, which necessitates higher adoption of digital technologies along with Robotics and Automation.”

According to him, “The world is moving in a direction where humans are becoming susceptible to frequent pandemic outbreaks and other health hazards. Hence it is high time when humans should consider developing and deploying their Robotics Avatars in works, businesses, and establishments.”

Releasing his annual predictions said “Many humans in future to becomes Robopreneurs (Robotics Entrepreneurs) and even many employees to turn Robopreneurs as they train their Avatar Robots with their skill sets to deploy it at their respective workplaces & establishments which can be remotely controlled and supervised.”

Parimal believes that Robotics Avatars shall be based on AI/Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Machine Vision, and shall be intelligent enough to learn works and experiences from humans. Once Robotics Avatars gets trained by humans, it can be deployed to work for them in enterprises, businesses, houses.

“Companies HR and our work systems should be ready to accept such major change keeping in mind continuity of our works and businesses during pandemic or other disruptions. Apart from ensuring better business and works continuity, Robopreneurs model to also multiply productivity thus income of humans” he adds.

Contrary to the belief that robots will take away our jobs, it’s fair to say based on the developments that humanoids and robots will help automate repetitive jobs. This will allow humans to focus on more complex tasks and create more jobs.

Regardless of our AI innovations, there is no doubt that humans are still humans and may prefer to interact with other humans who they trust to share information and make decisions. Nonetheless, the analyst believes that in 2022 and beyond, robots will outnumber humans in many activities, playing critical roles in areas such as advanced manufacturing, genetic engineering and medical innovation, where AI has already proved a blessing.

As we advance towards the future, we look forward to humanoids and robots evolving further and finding broader applications as they become more affordable to the more significant population, he concludes.
