Tech Mahindra Deploys Cisco Software Defined Network At Its Hyderabad Campus

The strategic partnership will be a key driver of growth and is expected to grow in the next one year.

Tech Mahindra has deployed Cisco Software Defined Network for its campus in Hyderabad. Cisco Digital Network Architecture (CDNA) is reportedly one of the largest Software Defined Campus Networks with over 14,000 live users in India.

This new deployment builds on a long-standing partnership between Tech Mahindra and Cisco that will help drive outcomes around automation, analytics and security in Tech Mahindra’s Off-Shore Development Centre (ODC) which serves 106 customers globally. Through this deployment, the ODC onboarding time has reduced by over 70% and can now offer enhanced user mobility and security.

Sharing insights on the strategic partnership with Cisco, CP Gurnani, MD and CEO, Tech Mahindra, said, “Tech Mahindra’s partnership with Cisco is very effective and has converged on areas such as the DNA (Digital Network Architecture).

Networks today across enterprises play a critical role but need modernization to keep pace with the demands of today’s digital age. Leveraging Cisco’s technology, we have deployed one of the largest Software Defined Networks in our Hyderabad campus”.

Tech Mahindra and Cisco have a 360-degree engagement for close to two decades and have collaborated on go-to-market strategies in areas that include smart cities, manufacturing, retail, banking, and other areas. The multifaceted strategic interlock brings together Cisco’s technology prowess and Tech Mahindra’s leadership and expertise across diverse industries and market segments in India.

Expanding this partnership further, Tech Mahindra will take the digital-ready infrastructure that the company has deployed to its end customers, especially in the vertical of FSI, manufacturing, and retail.

In the next phase, the joint GTM will focus on tapping into the digitization opportunities in the following verticals:

Ø 5G will play an important role in India’s growth as it narrows the divide between the haves and have nots and provides market access to the population spanning across geographies and economic strata. The Digital world will ride on the backbone of 5G and lead India towards economic prosperity.

Ø Financial Services Industry – The rise of Digital Banking opens immense opportunities for Tech Mahindra and Cisco to come together and offer solutions in a connected world. Financial Services Industry is seeing rapid changes in the way services are being delivered, and technology solutions based on a connected world will be the way forward.

Ø Manufacturing – Tech Mahindra and Cisco have opened a Centre of Excellence in Bangalore to focus on Manufacturing 4.0, especially as the convergence of IT and OT accelerates. Ability to integrate SCADA based systems with IT systems and have a fully integrated view of the shop floor will build enormous value for our customers.
