AI has the potential to improve productivity, efficiency, and accuracy across organizations

Leena AI was founded with a belief that artificial intelligence can transform the way enterprises work. Our mission is to help enterprises build employee experience that puts people first. As a team, we encourage each other to innovate and grow every day. Mr. Adit Jain, Founder & CEO, Leena AI share more insights on the same.

How can Artificial Intelligence enable efficiency for the workforce?

Smart technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) are improving operations across industries, while simultaneously impacting workplaces. AI has the potential to improve productivity, efficiency and accuracy across organizations. Since the onset of the pandemic, conversational AI has risen in popularity, owing to its multiple set of advantages. This has been prevalent in the HR domain where fishing for important employee information can take up much of an HR teams’ time. Reducing administrative or repetitive tasks can help HR professionals focus on high-value strategic activities. This is where Leena AI comes in. As a virtual assistant for employees, we empower organizations to transform employee experiences by proactively listening and taking real-time action to enhance employee engagement.

What kind of reports and analysis can be done with Leena AI which makes raw data more actionable and insightful?

Leena AI solves a very critical problem for HR professionals. Designed for modern workplaces, we cover all employee touch-points from onboarding to offboarding. How can Leena AI shift perceptions of HR from a back-end administrative burden to a means of achieving goals and strengthening a business in any organization?

The scope of AI in HR has broadened over the past couple of years, owing to the pandemic. With remote work environments becoming the norm, employers started paying more attention to employee satisfaction, mental and physical wellness, and employee engagement. This broadened the horizon of the usage of AI in the HR space, as they started to rely on AI to alleviate the strain. Previously, the tools used by HR professionals focused solely on ERP systems used for payroll and attendance management. However, with the scope getting broader, more developed tools have been introduced in the industry in the recent past.

For the longest time, employee engagement was treated as an annual practice – data was collected, mostly for benchmarking. However, with the advent of the instant-feedback age, it became possible to get actionable insights instantly. We at Leena AI recently launched a report titled the ‘Employee Engagement & The Hybrid Workplace Report 2022’ wherein we ascertained that nearly 60% of medium-sized organizations treated employee engagement as part of a larger business strategy. With increased investments in employee engagement initiatives, organizations are realizing that employee engagement can have far-reaching benefits on all aspects of a business. Employee engagement increases productivity, improves retention rates, boosts employee/customer happiness, enhances quality of work and thereby impacts the bottom line. Engaged employees are motivated to work harder, and continuously come up with innovative ideas which increase revenue. As per a 2018 report by Gallup, highly engaged employees lead to 17% more productivity and 21% higher profitability. After all, when you empower your employees, they empower your business.

With Leena AI’s solutions, organizations can build stronger teams and businesses that achieve organizational goals. Over the course of the next couple of years, Leena AI aims to eliminate all types of ticketing solutions so employees never have to raise a ticket for IT, Finance, Admin, etc. Over the past 2+ years, we have been helping organizations streamline employee experiences in the workplace, whether permanent, hybrid or remote. Leena AI has been instrumental in transforming the employee experience at organizations like Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL). Post the Idea Cellular Limited -Vodafone India Limited merger, they had foreseen the need for HR automation to significantly improve employee experience while boosting HR service delivery efficiency. Our primary objective here was to transform employee experience, to make the HR team more efficient, and to bring all queries to a single platform. We customized our HR virtual assistant as per the requirements of VIL and launched AISHA, the in-house name VIL chose for this solution. AISHA became a one-stop solution for all HR queries. She provided VIL with better visibility of employee tickets and case management metrics, thereby resolving 90% of employee queries online without the need of escalation. AISHA became a single channel to resolve all employee queries, clarifications and requests.

What has been the journey of Leena AI in India and globally?

The inception behind Leena AI came in a small room at IIT Delhi. I met Anand Prajapati, our CTO, and Mayank Goyal, our Head of AI for the first time in 2011. We were all in the same batch. In 2015, prior to our academic journey coming to an end, we had been inspired by the rise of start-ups in India, and decided to build our first start-up Chatterton, a chatbot-building platform. Working on Chatterton made us realize that businesses larger than 1000 employees were investing in HR and IT chatbots for their internal communications. Equipped with this insight, we spent the following few months identifying the reason behind organizations investing within this space. We discovered that employees typically spend over 60% of their time looking for information that would assist them with their job. This is when we conceived the idea of Leena AI, so as to fill this gap and enable easier access to information, creating a platform that was entirely HR-centric at the time.

The main idea behind creating Leena AI was to give a personal virtual assistant – or a Siri – in the hands of every employee in the world to make their lives easier. Leena AI plays well with 100+ platforms, including SAP SuccessFactors, ADP, Oracle, Workday and Microsoft Office 365, and can also be customized in 100+ languages. It has been an exciting ride for us, from a 3-member organization to more than 350 people working with us globally. Today more than 6 million employees use Leena AI every day, and we are associated with more than 350 corporate clients worldwide. This includes organizations like Nestlé, Puma, AirAsia, Coca-Cola, Lafarge, and Holcim and Abbott among others

How is Leena AI better than its competitors?

As a virtual assistant for employees, we help HR teams save time. However, at the core of it all, it comes down to the people actually using our solutions. For us, the biggest differentiator is that we think like our users, and that’s how we track back to them. This has been our competitive edge since our inception.

Essentially we work on end-to-end service delivery. Organizations can empower employee-centric teams to work on high-value activities and complex people issues while Leena AI manages and automates routine tasks.

We offer a modern integration-first platform with a cloud-first architecture that businesses can plug and play with little effort for a quicker time to value. Leena AI is also system and channel agnostic. Instead of needing to switch platforms, HR teams can achieve internal productivity indicators and statistics of employee experience at their respective organizations from a single dashboard. With the help of AI and natural language processing (NLP) operating on the most cutting-edge data sets, our solutions offer human-like employee experiences. While there are other organizations offering similar products in the industry, Leena AI stands out as the only player offering a holistic solution.
