Animeta: Bridging the Gap between Creators and Businesses in the Digital Space

CXOToday has engaged in an exclusive interview with Anish Mehta, Founder, Animeta

Question 1: What is the idea behind Animeta?

In recent years, the world has been witnessing a significant shift in viewership from traditional TV to digital platforms, leading to an increase in digital advertising revenues. Within the digital viewership landscape, the creator economy has been growing  rapidly. However, the market for creators remains unorganized with entry barriers hindering the monetization of content. India alone has over 80 million creators, but less than 0.2% of them are currently able to monetize their content. This presents a significant need gap in the market between creators as well as businesses looking to hire and collaborate with creators.

Animeta was conceived to address this gap and provide a platform for  creators and businesses by providing them with necessary tools and support to thrive. Animeta, a Singapore-based Creator tech company  focuses on helping creators grow their communities and maximize their earnings across various social media platforms, Animeta offers customized brand solutions through their proprietary Animeta AI-based Self-Service Creator Tech platform.

Animeta believes that every individual has the potential to unleash infinite opportunities through a mix of hard work and smart decisions. The creator-tech company empowers “any” individual to reach his/her meta state, which is reflected in the spelling of our name  “Ani” instead of the usual “any.”

Creators are at the core of Animeta’s DNA. The company’s message to creators is to continue recording videos while Animeta takes care of everything else. By supporting and nurturing creators, Animeta is poised to be at the forefront of the creator economy, empowering individuals to reach their full potential.

Question 2: What  role do you think technology has played in revolutionizing the creator ecosystem?

Technology is  playing a critical role in revolutionizing the creator ecosystem. With the advent of digital platforms, social media, and various other technological advancements such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), creators now have access to a wider audience and more tools at their disposal than ever before.

One of the most significant ways in which technology has revolutionized the creator ecosystem is through the democratization of content creation. In the past, the creation of high-quality content was limited to those with access to expensive equipment and production resources. However, today, anyone with a smartphone and an internet connection can create and distribute content on various platforms. This has opened up opportunities for a diverse range of creators to showcase their talents and reach a global audience.

Technology has also enabled creators to monetize their content in ways that were not possible before. Digital platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok offer creators the opportunity to monetize their content through advertising revenue, brand partnerships, and sponsorships. There is also a rise in niche-focused platforms that cater to specific audiences or industries. These platforms offer unique features and tools tailored to the needs of specific creators and brands, driving deeper engagement and better results.

Lastly, the recent transformation wave is with the increasing usage of AI for content creation. AI has been offering advanced and personalized content creation, as seen with Animeta, a platform that leverages AI tools to create content in line with ongoing trends. AI algorithms automate content creation, provide personalized recommendations, analyze data, provide customer support, and improve product development, benefiting both creators and businesses in the creator economy.

As AI and machine learning technologies continue to advance, we can expect to see more AI-driven content creation tools and data-driven insights, such as social media analytics, sentiment analysis, and predictive analytics, helping creators and brands optimize their content and drive better results.

Question 3: How is Animeta different from its competitors?

The implementation of AI technology is the key factor that sets Animeta and its offerings apart from its competitors. AI provides the necessary scale for a rapidly growing business like Animeta, which is experiencing a remarkable 35% CAGR globally. Animeta’s creator-tech product is a game-changer for the creator economy, as it leverages the power of AI to deliver a range of products that benefit both creators and brands.

Also, there are several tools at the creators’ disposal but lack of knowledge & other complications associated with the entrepreneurial aspect of being a creator; render most of these technology tools redundant as they add to the creators’ operational woes. None of these however address the main issue of creative bankruptcy/burn out, because there is no one providing a content strategy which is key.

Animeta is a truly creator company which invests in creators, and acquires exclusive 50% rights in all their content from the past, present and the future, also their brand & talent rights; thereby focusing on a holistic growth & monetization plan so that the creators can focus only on creating content, while we take care of everything else and grow their business through our AI powered Creator Tech platform.

Animeta also offers financial investment, data analytics and business intelligence, content strategy and creative supervision, and brand, PR, and social media expertise to its creator partners.

Question 4: What are some of the challenges that creators face today and How will Animeta solve them?

In India alone, there are approximately 755 million social media users and 80 million content creators, of which less than 0.2% are able to monetize their content. These statistics highlight some of the significant challenges faced by creators today.

One of the key challenges that creators face is the lack of structured banking and financial assistance, which makes it difficult for them to monetize their content. Also, digital content creators lack proper creative and production support, leading to an unorganized market with few professional creators. Monetization, copyright, and compliance issues are also prominent for digital creators, hindering their growth. Animeta addresses these challenges and provides solutions to the creator economy. Creator burnout is the most significant problem in the industry today and providing a solution to that is a key focus for Animeta.

Animeta acts as a business partner that handles all of these aspects of the business, allowing creators to focus solely on creating content while Animeta takes care of everything else. Animeta focuses on cross-platform content creation, multi-lingual content creation, higher CPM markets, and overall engagement and community focus for creators, which all lead to sustained growth in revenue.

By offering financial investment, data analytics, and business intelligence, Animeta helps creators to grow their businesses scientifically and achieve long-term success. Animeta also provides content strategy and creative supervision, as well as brand, PR, and social media expertise, to help creators establish their brand, build a loyal fan base, and monetize their content effectively.

With Animeta, the aim is to make entrepreneurs out of creators. As the industry continues to grow and evolve, Animeta is committed to bringing about an organized, holistic, and well-rounded 360-degree value chain into the business, which will continue to dispel myths and corresponding corollaries on a daily basis.

Question 5: Trends for 2023

The digital content creation economy is constantly evolving, and in 2023, we can expect to see several trends that will shape the industry. One of the most significant trends is the emergence of Gen Z as a driving force in content consumption. This generation, which is “born-on-mobile,” prefers to consume content on social media platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook. This trend is likely to have a lasting impact on content viewership and consumption patterns for years to come.

Another trend we can expect to see is the increasing focus on user-generated content and the democratization of content creation. With social media platforms allowing anyone to create and share their content, we can expect to see a surge in the amount of user-generated content available online. This trend will further blur the line between professional and amateur content, and we may see a shift in how audiences perceive and value content.

In addition to user-generated content, we can also expect to see a rise in demand for niche content. Genres such as travel, food & cooking, eating challenges, relaxing art, DIY, animals & pet care, gaming, people & vlogs are becoming increasingly popular, and content creators are focusing on producing more targeted and specific content. As audiences become more discerning and selective about the content they consume, creators will need to cater to their specific interests to remain relevant.

Digital platforms are also collapsing geographical boundaries, and we can see global and Indian trends mirroring each other more evidently. However, the one trend that distinguishes India is the power of regional content. Regional Indian content has become a formidable force to reckon with, and this trend is likely to continue in 2023. As more creators focus on producing region-specific content, we can expect to see a surge in the popularity of regional content and an increase in the demand for localized content.
