CoSoSys specializes in Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and security software. Its flagship product, Endpoint Protector, is an advanced, all-in-one DLP solution for Windows, macOS, and Linux, that puts an end to data leaks and data theft while offering control of portable storage devices and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
- With what mission and objectives was the company set up? In short, tell us about your journey since the inception of the company.
CoSoSys was founded in 2004. We now proudly protect over 11 million users worldwide. This continuous growth is due to closely listening to our users’ feedback and our dedication to innovation. As data security threats continue to evolve, so do we and our solutions.
ur success is also attributable to our focus on the human component. We strive to make powerful and effective products that can be deployed in hours, simple enough for any IT Administrator to use, all from one centralized web interface. We also think about the end users’ experience, ensuring that our solutions work smoothly and do not disrupt their day-to-day tasks or compromise productivity.
CoSoSys’ mission is to enable businesses and end users around the world to take full advantage of the performance benefits of mobility, portability, and communications solutions, without compromising security. To achieve this, we develop solutions that prevent data loss on the ever-increasing number of devices and endpoints.

- What is your biggest USP that differentiates the company from competitors?
Endpoint Protector by CoSoSys is a cross-platform solution that offers feature parity between Windows, macOS, and Linux computers. The solution provides diverse implementation options, coming as a Virtual Appliance, compatible with the most popular virtualization tools, and an Instance on Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.
Our DLP solution has a lightweight agent, offers a user-friendly interface, granular policy management, carefree installation, and can work offline.
- What is the current international DLP market, and what factors are driving these advanced technologies?
Over the past years, there has been a big increase in security awareness. Many companies decided to implement a Data Loss Prevention solution either proactively, or because they had a security incident recently. Companies need to use a Data Loss Prevention solution as part of their compliance as well. (BFSI, Pharma, Healthcare, IT, etc.)
- Please describe your channel partner education programs for your advanced solutions.
CoSoSys will keep educating all partners with the right guidance to accelerate adopting a data protection strategy that works for businesses from the BFSI, healthcare, insurance, and other sectors. It included continuous training sessions and webinars for sales and technical and certifications, initiatives and activities together with the Distributors. We are also focusing on awareness initiatives to increase brand awareness in India.
- How do you see the company and the industry in the future ahead?
While hybrid work is proving to be a positive step for many companies and employees in terms of productivity, data security took a hit in 2020 and 2021 due to the shift towards working from home. This is mostly a consequence of how organizations have developed their cybersecurity and data protection policies until now.
Due to the constant digital and data growth, it is essential for companies to be equipped with the necessary resources and to provide efficient cybersecurity and data privacy. Besides the risk of a data breach that causes both financial and reputational loss, growing compliance requirements and the loss of competitive advantage are essential factors to consider.
The awareness of Data Loss Prevention and data security has increased a lot in the past two years due to the pandemic. We have strengthened our Channel Partner Program in India, through which we’ve tried to establish an understanding of why the Data Loss Prevention solutions are business-relevant and should be in priority.
