- Can you tell us about the company’s expansion plans in the next 12 months for the India market?
BD Soft has steadily and remarkably reinforced its position as one of the leading IT security distributors offering industry-leading consumer, SMB & enterprise-level solutions in India. The brand is now looking forward to expanding its reach and developing an expansion strategy to contribute to development in areas with a strong security market.
We have already established a significant presence in Tier 1 markets. As part of the next stage of expansion, we will concentrate on Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities across India. We intend to be present in over 100 cities by the end of 2023. In addition, in order to bring the plans together, we intend to further expand our Team by bringing on skilled individuals, particularly in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. The SMB and SME market in India is rapidly expanding, as are the cybersecurity challenges they face. We hope to assist them in resolving their cyber security concerns and providing solutions that are best suited to their environment.
- Describe the company’s growth objectives of business
Threats are increasing and cyber criminals are making headlines on a daily basis as the internet matures and India rapidly digitizes. Every other day, we hear about cyber criminals breaking into banks, online sites, and businesses. It is self-evident that we must do something to secure our IT infrastructure & this should not be taken lightly.
Our goal at BD Soft is to ensure that businesses & consumers are protected from all types of threats. BD Soft offers a wide range of end-user solutions, including end-point security, cyber security training, and data protection against internal threats. Our mission is to protect our customers from internal and external digital threats. Understanding the same, we have partnered with leading national & international brands bringing the complete suite of security solutions under one roof.
- Since the pandemic, how has BD Soft expanded?
The pandemic forced businesses to operate from home and continue hybrid work for an extended period of time. Cyber security culture readiness of organizations from various domains has clearly become an urgent need. Prior to the pandemic, cybersecurity/data security received little attention. However, the pandemic prompted the need for a shift in security culture.
As a result, pandemic provided an opportunity for BD Soft to expand across locations where we were not doing business, allowing us to connect to multiple customers across the country while sitting at home. We had not stopped growing and were steadily growing, capturing new markets throughout the period. We also learned how to work from home, systems, and are now putting that knowledge to use to expand further.
- Which new brands have you joined as a distributor with?
We have onboarded four new brands in the last quarter alone: Phished – Phissing Simulation & Cybersecurity Training, Chimpa – Mobile device management and endpoint monitoring, Sendquick – An alert Management system with 2 Factor Authentication, and Cybel Angel – Threat Monitoring Solutions. Each of the brands are champions in their respective fields, and we hope that Indian customers will benefit from their use.
- You have a choice of cybersecurity-related products. Which one is the most top performer for you?
BD Software provides a wide range of solutions, all of which have received positive client feedback. However, if I had to pick one, I would say that end point protection, followed by DLP (Data Leakage Prevention) solutions, are market leaders and have earned the business a lot of respect. These are the two solutions that have gained popularity in India.
