3. How is the role of CISO changed in the post-pandemic era?

Covid-19 affected the IT sector tremendously. I would say that the most important change in the post-pandemic era has been the increased effort to improve endpoint security, especially for remote employees. Security operations are being constantly improved in order to stay ahead of any attacks. CISOs have to constantly update their security strategies to match the needs of the ever-evolving security landscape. Third-party security, Identity and Access Management and Program management are among the other areas of focus for a CISO.

4. How has the pandemic affected the way enterprise security works?

When the pandemic first struck, most enterprises were caught off guard and had extremely weak security policies. So, in the post pandemic world, they have more leveraged, remote workforces with constantly improving security landscapes. Remote work is here to stay, so that means more corporate data will be generated outside the secure corporate workspace. So that’s why organizations have to step up their security policies accordingly. In the post pandemic era, more enterprises are considering device management solutions that assist IT admins to manage and secure the devices remotely.

Enterprise security solutions are now constantly looking at new methods of device management, to ensure that they are always one step ahead of any attacks. New security policies and features are being constantly rolled out.

5. What are the new security trends for the hybrid work culture?

The hybrid work culture is extremely susceptible to cyber-attacks. Zero Trust Network Access and Secure Access Service Edge. SASE brings network security to full force by culminating technologies like ZTNA (Zero Trust Network Access), FSaaS (Firewall as a Service), and more like the kind.

6. What is the role of artificial intelligence and machine learning in protecting organizations from cyberattacks?

According to a survey, around 62 percent of hacks were discovered after seriously damaging the systems. This is where AI and ML come in handy. The fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning have made some incredible advancements in IT. AI and ML can help swiftly discover and analyze various threats.

Businesses have benefited from using AI-based predictive analysis to uncover hidden trends and identify dangers, preventing the release of zero-day vulnerabilities. AI has also taken over business customer service in the form of bots that allow staff to concentrate more on other essential duties. Additionally, by monitoring potential risks, AI capabilities will assist businesses in lowering the attack surface.
