In India still there is low Acceptance of women entrepreneur : Yogita Tulsiani

CXOToday has engaged in an exclusive interview with Ms. Yogita Tulsaini, Director and co-founder of iXceed Solutions

  1. What do you enjoy most about being an entrepreneur?

The nicest part of this trip was being able to paint our ambitions on a white canvas. Being an entrepreneur is like having all the glory and blame at once. I’ve always desired to be my own boss. I enjoy independence and creativity and I like to try new things. I enjoy the difficulties that come with becoming an entrepreneur much more than I enjoy the thrill of success. The aspect of my work that I appreciate the most is being able to improve people’s lives, contribute to the ecosystem, and create jobs. I decided to go into business because I’ve always wanted to have an effect. I’ve always been fascinated by entrepreneurship and enjoy reading success tales of all the accomplished businesspeople. You see, it’s interesting to watch anything grow from nothing into an empire. It requires a lot of bravery, preparation, fortitude, hard work, and teamwork, along with sound execution and strategy skills.

2.What are the challenges you have to face as a woman entrepreneur?

As a woman entrepreneur, I observed many challenges in personal life, the biggest challenge that I face as a woman entrepreneur is creating a balance between professional and personal life . Women are expected to play a major role in  taking care of the family. Being an entrepreneur means long working hours. In that case, having time for family and especially for myself is very tough.

In the industry there is aloways a low Acceptance of women entrepreneurs, female entrepreneurs are judged to be less competent than their male peers,  Society believes women possess low leadership skills

In fact many times, I have been judged & criticized for my choices

3. What qualities make you a good leader?

Passionate, hardworking, Communication, sensitive and intelligent are the qualities that every leader should have and I think with the time I also learnt all these qualities because I think a good leader always adapts to their surrounding environments and motivates the team to succeed together.

4.How do you generally approach work? What is it that propels you forward?

Startup planning your business and taking small incentives on that. Reading about that industry with the proper statistics and understanding the nature/ trend of the market. But always keep calm, positive and always believe in yourselves.

5. Doesn’t the heavy responsibility of your job drain you out? How do you manage to handle such high pressure?

Obviously, I get very tired at the end of the day. Some of the time the psychological weakness appears as physical too .Yet I’m glad that I am buckling down work and this fortifies my assurance to succeed , even more.

Actually I might want to do a few loosening up exercises – like paying attention to music, understanding books , sitting peacefully for at some point . Positive thinking and intrinsic motivation also greatly assist me in managing pressure.

6. Any advice for aspiring women entrepreneurs?

Well I advise to the aspiring women entrepreneurs that never underestimate your own strength and power. Always believe in yourself and be hardworking and passionate.
