Qandle: A Digital HR Platform for the Digital Workplace, serving new-age HR solutions

In the past few years, the HR industry has witnessed many changes. The global pandemic followed by the year-long work from home and the industry’s own desire for growth has influenced the digitalisation of  HR operations.

With no doubts, HR department business could not have been more helpful and cooperative than they were during the pandemic. And despite the best of their intentions if they lagged in their work anywhere was due to the rapid growth in digital innovations.

Qandle: the one-stop platform to serve the HR professionals with the most flexible solutions. The aim of co-founders of this startup, Chayan Mukhopadhyay and Himanshu Aggarwal was to make a software that revolutionises HR working for both, HR professionals and employees. Updated technology will help HR professionals to make smarter and more informed, data-driven decisions. Qandle, also focuses on re-engineering the HR technology from the employee’s perspective to be able to offer them genuine solutions.

 

  1. Elaborate on the inception of the brand?

The idea was first conceived by Mr. Chayan Mukhopadhyay. His experience of working in organizations that had the challenges of clunky HR solutions were a source of frustration for the HR department and the employees both.

When Chayan decided to enter into the world of entrepreneurship, he chose to work in the employee benefits industry.  However, while marketing the product to HR professionals from various companies, he noticed a critical need for a complete, flexible, and easy HR management solution.

He discussed the same with Himanshu Aggarwal, and he acknowledged that it was a problem that he himself had observed in the organizations he had worked in. Then, in 2016, they together launched Qandle, a one-stop HR technology solution. The platform follows a SaaS based model and charges a subscription fee per employee per month. It includes a wide range of modules that enable day-to-day HRMS operations with optimized execution using AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics as the foundation.

  1. How is the brand creating a difference?

Qandle, an All-In-One HR solution, focuses on re-engineering HR Technology from the perspective of employees. The brand aims at offering flexible HR solutions that cover an employee’s journey right from hire to retire. The vast array of offerings includes solutions for recruitment, employee onboarding, payroll and related compliances, attendance and time offs, employee engagement etc. Qandle offers over 22 modules covering all the possible HR and employee tasks. One can broadly classify the same into 10 categories covering the entire gamut of People Management – Hire, Onboard, Track, Pay, Engage, Redress, Analyze, etc.

  1. How is the brand re-engineering the HR domain with tech?

In today’s world, the application of technology is extremely crucial for managing HR operations in organizations of varying sizes and sectors. Absence of technology solutions result in organizational silos, high friction, and poor employee experiences. Based on clients’ needs, all tech companies desire to continuously upgrade with the emerging technologies in the market and we are no exception and have been doing the same. We have a completely cloud-based solution and we already use virtualization to provide a fast solution with extremely low latency.

To save significant time for our clients we use AI and Natural Language processing in several modules which includes AI chat bot, Resume Parser, smart shift allocation among others.

  1. How are you utilizing AI in product development?

To begin with, AI may bring instant value to HR and recruitment processes by forecasting talent acquisition and retention needs within a firm or department. The potential of AI to provide insight-driven predictions may be utilized to rapidly collect and evaluate data from across departments about vacancies, new team requirements, and probable attritions, all of which can assist HR teams prioritize their hiring needs.

AI/ML have always been one of the cornerstones of our product, and we’re still investing in it to help our clients make their work life easier and comfortable. We leverage AI and Natural Language processing in a number of modules to make our solution innovative and save significant time for our clients’ employees and their HR teams simultaneously. One of the goals is to automate and respond to the employees’ day-to-day general inquiries on behalf of the HR and Admin departments. Apart from this, AI and ML are the foundation of many innovations in various modules that have been carefully curated to give businesses a seamless experience.

  1. How does a company benefit from Qandle services?

We launched Qandle to replace the market’s bulky and complicated HR solutions, as well as point solutions which solved only a part of the HR puzzle but not the whole thing. The goal was to create something that could handle the whole employee HR lifecycle while also being flexible and simple to use. We give a complete solution, not simply a technology platform, with a seamless experience and an intuitive interface that does not require any specific training to use. Furthermore, we cover every possible module that a firm may require when it comes to managing their people function. Qandle offers over 22 modules across 10 broad categories covering all the possible HR and employee tasks thus eliminating the challenge of maintaining multiple SAAS platforms to manage the organizations’ most valuable asset – People. Together these technologies have disrupted the entire HR function. And all of Qandle’s solutions are built on a foundation of refined, current, and relevant technologies.

  1. How do you think the HR Tech industry is shaping in the coming years?

HR’s job has changed dramatically over the previous thirty years, and HR technology, which supports HR, has grown significantly to keep up.

HR’s role has evolved from that of a support function to that of a strategic business function. As a result, HR technology has evolved from being a record-keeping system in the 1990s to systems of engagement and intelligence in this decade. HR technology’s importance in obtaining, retaining, and developing talent, as well as managing the whole workforce in enterprises across all sectors, will only grow as time goes on.

  1. Which are the primary modules contributing to your traction?

All of our 20+ modules across 10 broad categories including- Hire & Onboard, Track, Pay, Engage, Redress, Analyze, etc. aim to promote smarter data-driven decision-making. We have provided all the possible modules for companies to work with and kept it very simple for both employees and HRs in terms of the usage. It helps overcome the challenge of maintaining multiple SAAS platforms and easy management of the mundane tasks.

  1. Your plans for the end of fiscal.

We plan to at least double our customer base this year. The greater motive of the company is to revolutionize the HR working with updated technology which will help HR teams and business heads to make smarter and more informed, data-driven decisions.

Qandle also has a very transparent process where every two weeks, Qandle ships new releases and our product roadmap is visible to all the customers who can easily vote on the features to prioritize what they want. We also keep the users informed about the products we are building.
