Business Users Get Stylish New Chromebooks from Acer

Technology giant Acer has unveiled three new premium Chromebooks including one that is aimed at business users in a virtually held “the next@Acer” launch event earlier this week. The Chromebook Enterprise Spin 713 and Chromebook Spin 713 are powered by the latest 10th Gen Intel Core processors and are a part of Intel’s Project Athena program that aims at offering advanced laptop experiences and designs.

The devices under the Project Athena Program are known to offer consistent performances, responsiveness, incredible battery life and hence are subject to rigorous tests. These are the features that make any laptop an ideal one for enterprise users.

The Chromebook Spin 713 from Acer comes with a 13.5-inches IPS touchscreen display that offers a resolution of 2256 x 1504 pixels, dual integrated stereo speakers, dual microphones, up to 16GB of RAM (DDR4), and a 256GB SSD. The company claims that the new Spin 713 can offer a battery backup of up to 10 hours. Both the display and the trackpad come with Gorilla Glass protection.

The 360-degree hinge gives the “Spin” to the laptop offering versatility allowing the user to use this as a laptop, tablet, display, or tent, all based on your space and requirements. Most enterprise users carry the laptop for business meetings and the latest offering provides them with the flexibility to use it both for work as well as for entertainment viewing.

The Chromebook Enterprise Spin 713, on the other hand, is designed keeping business users in the mind. It comes with Google’s Chrome Enterprise security solution that helps businesses manage multiple devices at a time. Since it runs on a Cloud-based operating system, the Chromebook Enterprise Spin 713 is ideal for business users who look for additional security, prefer to stay connected and work in a collaborative environment.

It empowers IT administrators, with the right tools to manage devices in the organizations remotely, control updates, configure apps, utilizes extensions and policies.

The Chromebook Spin 311 is a smaller 11.6-inches convertible laptop that is powered by a Mediatek MT8183 processor and since it offers a 15-hours. The laptop offers all the based requirements like WiFi, Webcam, Bluetooth etc making it ideal for remote education and school projects.

Since all the three laptops support app downloads from Google’s Play Store that effectively increases their functionality multifold.

The Chromebook Spin 713 will start retailing in North America from July at a starting price of $629, and the Enterprise Spin 713 launches in August starting at $1,099. While the Spin 311 will be available in North America this July at a starting price of $259.

While there is no word around the availability in India as of now, the fact remains that Acer is eyeing a share in the fast-growing enterprise segment in the country, with specific focus on the MSMEs. In the past Dell and Lenovo have focused on these segments and provided industry specific solutions for their computing needs.
