India’s success in the Information Technology (IT) domain is phenomenal. India’s IT talent has not only got a global recognition but also attracted several MNCs to invest in the country. IT parks have played very crucial role in the growth of IT, especially the software business. The major IT parts situated in cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, Mumbai, Kolkata, Gandhinagar is driving the growth of the industry. The Indian IT-BPM Industry clocked USD 146 billion revenue in 2015 and the industry is expected to add revenues of USD 20 billion in 2016. The export revenues for the current fiscal is projected to reach USD 110-112 billion.

IT parks which witness multi million transactions every day are the most promising workplaces. India’s IT Parks have gained popularity not among Indians, but also on an international platform for its state of the art infrastructure, world class working conditions and amenities. Here are some of the world class IT parks in India, which are driving the billion dollars IT industry.

International Tech Park, Bengaluru

The International Tech Park Bengaluru (ITPB) truly provides work-live-play’ environment for IT business. Established in 1994, ITPB has a built-up area of over 2,000,000 sq ft and it houses marque companies like TCS, Oracle, IBM, Mahindra & Mahindra etc. and employs more than 30000 employees. The IT park is well equipped with modern amenities such as banks, ATMs, Foreign Exchange, career, lifestyle stores, laundry service, a wide range of food courts, medical clinic and a health club. ITPB is also very much active in employee engagement.

 Magarpatta Satellite Township, Pune

Magarpatta is a satellite township of Pune, built over 400 acres in the erstwhile village of Hadapsar, on the outskirts of Pune. It has residential as well as corporate offices mostly catering to IT/ITES and also has top consulting firms. Some of the IT/ITES corporate based in Magarpatta are Accenture, Amdocs, Avaya,BNY Mellon, Capita, EDS, Mphasis, Patni, Sybase etc. Apart from Magarpatta, Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park in Hinjawadi, Talwade Tech Park and Panchshil Tech Park are also bolstering IT growth.

Electronics City, Bengaluru

Dubbed as India’s Silicon Valley, Electronics City houses some of the major IT giants. It is one of India’s largest electronic industrial parks, spread over 300 acres. There are more than 200 IT/ITES companies and BPOs located in the Electronics City. It also has a large number of medium and small industries in software services, hardware and high-end telecommunications.

HITEC City, Hyderabad

 The Hyderabad Information Technology and Engineering Consultancy City (HITEC City) is the largest Information Technology park in India, which offers world class state-of-the-art IT infrastructure under one roof to companies operating in the field of IT services, IT enabled services, Telecom, Engineering Consultancy and related domains. It is a major technology township across around150 acres of land.

Inaugurated in 2004, CyberPearl is another IT hub in Hyderabad which features a fully equipped health club and business centre. The amenities include a food court, restaurant, meeting rooms, conference and recreational facilities. Apart from that the Cyber Gateway, which is specifically designed for ITeS and BPO services, is Phase II of HITEC City. It is spread over 866,000 sq ft across 8 acres of land with beautiful gardens.

Millennium City IT Park, Kolkata

Millennium Park is truly a millennium gift from the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA/CMDA). Inaugurated in 1999, it is a private park in Kolkata, situated along the Strand Road on the eastern shore of the Hooghly River. The park consists of landscaped gardens and children’s amusement rides. The park is part of the first phases of the Kolkata Riverside Beautification Project.

SIPCOT IT Park, Chennai 

SIPCOT IT Park Information Technology located in Siruseri, along the IT Corridor, Chennai. It is developed in over 500 acres of land by SIPCOT, the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu, a fully government-owned institution. The park offers greenery, well laid concrete roads and provisional for residential facilities and warehouses apart from essential facilities like Bank, Post Office, Fast food restaurant, etc.

CyberVale IT Park, Chennai

Located within Mahindra World City,CyberVale IT Park is Ascendas’ second IT Park project in Tamil Nadu, after the International Tech Park Chennai (ITPC), and also Ascendas’ first IT SEZ Park project in India. The IT Park is being developed in four phases, spread across 18.5 acres of lush landscape that balances nature and a world-class environment, ideal for IT, ITES and R&D companies.

Infocity, Gandhinagar

The Infocity is global ITeS outsourcing hub in Gujarat, which provides world class infrastructure to BPO, KPO, software development and other ITeS outsourcing companies. The IT park hosts Infocity Club & Resort or the investors with Infocity in the development of IT Sector.

Apart from that IT parts in tier 2 cities are also gaining traction among MNCs. Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram, Infotech Park in Navi Mumbai, DLF IT Park at Kolkata, Brigade Tech Park at Bengaluru are gaining momentum in the industry.
