Bengaluru, April 18, 2023: India’s leading shared office space provider BHIVE Workspace today announced the expansion of its campus model with the launch of its new coworking space in Bengaluru to usher in a new era of the flexible workspace industry in India. This launch of the biggest coworking campus of Whitefield assumes significance as employers are increasingly investing in giving an elevated office experience to their employees to drive innovation and productivity and shared workspace providers are emerging as their key partners.

Spread across 2 lakh square feet and situated in a prime location in Whitefield, the IT belt of Bengaluru, the new coworking campus will offer over 5,000 seats and an array of offerings including an upcoming rooftop restaurant, Sunset Boulevard. The restaurant will provide an atmosphere of opulent extravagance and showcase the beautiful and panoramic view of Bangalore. The facility was launched amid much fanfare with celebrity performances by superstar vocalist Shaan, esteemed actor and comedian Sunil Grover, Veena artist Revathi Kamath, and DJ Deep Bhamra in a lavish event on 15th April 2023. Nearly 20% of the seats have already been taken up by startups just after the pre-launch, in a testament to the growing popularity of the campus model as an exciting workplace for everyone.

The launch of BHIVE’s third campus facility comes after it introduced the world’s largest coworking space in the city which is spread across 3 lakh square feet. This third campus takes the total footprint of BHIVE Workspace to 1.4 million square feet with over 40,000 seats in state-of-the-art facilities equipped with industry-best technologies at 21 prime locations across Bengaluru.

This expansion caters to the growing demand for flexible office spaces post the pandemic and strengthens its position as one of the most preferred shared office space providers. The new launch contributes to the evolution of shared workspaces to include larger offerings in retail and entertainment to suit the evolving requirements of members from its core offering.

Commenting on the launch, Shesh Paplikar, Co-founder and CEO of BHIVE Workspace said, “We have always been at the forefront of bringing new experiences to our occupiers and their employees to enhance their office experience. With our campus model, we have taken a lead in the industry towards offering a wide range of amenities including retail and sports, which are beyond the usual offerings of a flexible workspace facility. This enables us to differentiate our offerings in the industry and emerge as the preferred partner for startups and small businesses. With the launch of our Whitefield campus, we are delighted to expand our coworking space in a testament to its growing popularity and adoption among occupiers”.

As the adoption of shared workspaces grows significantly across the country, accounting for about 20% of the total commercial space taken up in 2022, newer concepts are emerging including the campus model to bring new innovations in this space.
BHIVE, with its nuanced understanding of the requirements of employees, has been the preferred choice for companies looking to offer flexible working options to its employees. It counts leading start-ups in fitness, fintech and other domains as its occupiers.

The rise of the hybrid working model post-pandemic along with the boost in the start-up culture has led to an increase in the demand for coworking spaces across the country. According to a CII-Anarock report ‘Workplaces of the Future’, the market size of coworking spaces would double in the coming 5 years at a CAGR of 15%.
