HR Conclave witnessed renowned personalities from large scale to mid-size firms

 

Dr. Ajay Data, MD, Data Group was Chief Guest at the event ‘HR Conclave- with theme HR: The Growth Catalyst’. It brought together people managers, HR professionals from myriad industries under one roof to discuss the changing workplace culture, need to transform with hybrid culture becoming reality, advancements and technology interventions needed in hiring and induction process for easing out things for employees.  Dr. Data shared tips on retaining right talent for the new-age companies.

The event was hosted by EconomicTimes, The Business Manager Magazine in association with Balkrishan Industries Ltd. saw participation from renowned senior managers, CHROs such as Mr. Pradyumna Pandey, CHRO, Mother Dairy, Mr. Sanjay Bose, Executive VP and Head- HR, ITC’s Hotel Group, Dr. Tanjul Saxena, Co-founder & Director, META AIDE, Mr. Subir Verma, Head HR, Tata Power DDL & Dr. VP Mathur  President HR-Corp. Balkrishna Industries Ltd.

As now the businesses are not passed from one generation to another, instead startups are revitalizing their people management practices to become a growing yet joyful office for the new talent, dynamics of people management must change. IT industry in the recent past has seen a great spike in employees resigning from their positions as they complain of work-life balance“said, Dr. Ajay Data, MD, Data Group.

Data also added, “He started Data Infosys one of the first IT companies of Jaipur in early 1990s, at time when IT market and professionals in India were only bare minimum. People were working to fulfill their needs, but now the needs and wants have changed. We have changed our HR practices with time to attract the right talent.”Data added that thereby good HR manager must not micromanage and let the employees perform and only monitor at pre-decided timeline.”

Dr. Data said that in the last 20 years employees have evolved from “Basic needs” to “standard of living” and now it’s “Quality of living”.  Just enough is not enough. We have to raise standards to provide high quality life to employees.

Data Group recently got opportunity in last quarter to hire 1200 people and start a project in one month. The company with its “mobile based Attendance platform” and  video conferencing software VideoMeet and email enterprise management system Xgenplus, and other automated system eliminated the entire manual documentation process, and conducted the entire process virtually for the humungous amount of newly hired professionals and appointed them on time.
