Deloitte strengthens capabilities in IoT, automation, and digital transformation

Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP (Deloitte India) has acquired two flagship assets, ‘Tezeva’ and ‘FaktoryWize’, from Websym Solutions Pvt Ltd, a Pune-based technology start-up that specialises in data-driven solutions and services, along with the team that has designed and deployed these assets across clients. The acquisition highlights Deloitte India’s commitment to investing in capabilities that can transform client businesses and secure future success.

By acquiring the assets, Deloitte India has expanded its existing portfolio of services and strengthened its ability to offer end-to-end Advice, Implement, and Operate solutions to manufacturers, industrial, and consumer OEMs and smart city/smart utilities deployments.

These assets will help organisations to harness IoT, big data, cloud, and analytics and enable real-time process management. Additionally, they will provide actionable analytics to enhance productivity, improve efficiency, boost operational visibility, and enforce process compliance.

“We are thrilled to announce the acquisitions as they present an excellent opportunity for us to enhance our expertise in an Industry 4.0 era where data-driven solutions are in high demand across multiple industries, driving efficiency, ease, and productivity,” said Romal Shetty, Chief Executive Officer, Deloitte South Asia. “This is a significant milestone for Deloitte India, as it marks our first acquisition of this nature in India. As supply chains realign and progressive policies such as PLI schemes draw in manufacturers, India is gearing up to become a ‘smart factory’ for the world, and our acquisition is, therefore, timely.”

Manufacturers in energy, industrial, and consumer product industries, as well as smart city projects have already deployed and are using ‘Tezeva’ and ‘FaktoryWize’. Deloitte India will introduce these products to other industries as well.

“The acquisition will allow us to access a broader market, drive innovation, and establish a strong presence in the marketplace. We welcome the co-founders of Websym Solutions, Ashish Nene, Subramhanya Hathwar, and Shripad Shingne, along with their product development and implementation team, to Deloitte India. We are excited to leverage their expertise and work closely with our clients to drive growth”, said Sathish Gopalaiah, President, Consulting, Deloitte South Asia.

Over the next two-three years, Deloitte India will continue to develop its capabilities and build a comprehensive suite of offerings in the smart-operations space to meet client needs.
