Ready to supercharge your productivity? Introducing Widgets!

Quickly access important information like the latest weather updates, breaking news, and your busy calendar all in one place. Completely customizable, your desktop will be completely optimized to your muscle memory!

Here are four ways you can make the most out of your personalized widgets:

Getting started

Press the Windows logo key + W to open the widgets board

To see more widgets at once on your board, use the expand button in the top right corner. The button will turn into a collapse button for when you want to shrink it. The board will remember the size you set and will open in that same size in the future.

Customize widgets

Once a widget has been added, you can customize it to your specifications. To do this, click on More Options in the upper-right corner and select Customize widget. When you edit a widget, you can customize it by changing the city for your weather widget or updating the watchlist for your stock’s widget.

In this settings panel, you can adjust the size, position, and other settings of the widget as well.

Interacting with widgets

By clicking the title bar in the widget’s upper-left corner, you can access the program or website that the widget links to. In this, you can interact with various widgets to perform activities like checking off your to-do list or viewing the events in the calendar.

Personalized news and interests

With time, the stream of news content and widgets displayed on your widgets board becomes increasingly customized. To get started, indicate your preferences by choosing “Manage interests” from the Widget settings dialog box. You will now be able to access the “My Interests” page. Here you can:

  • Use the search box to find topics or publishers you want to follow
  • Browse topics by category and select the ones that interest you
  • View and manage the interests and publishers you’re following

So, say goodbye to boring, static desktops and hello to dynamic, interactive programs that display personalized content from your favorite apps and services right on your Windows desktop!
