Techie Ashutosh Kumar, a security architect at Akamai Technologies was recently rewarded for finding security vulnerability in CCTNS application in Hackathon event conducted by NCRB(National Crime Records Bureau), a unit of Ministry of Home affairs, Govt of India and . CCTNS is an application which is developed in order to make the Police functioning citizen friendly and more transparent by automating the functioning of Police Stations. After evaluation , Ashutosh was awarded second prize winner at the Hackathon, the evaluation was based on the severity of the issues reported.

He was instrumental in finding out 12 security vulnerabilities in 36 hours, out of which 8 were functional level security issues in the CCTNS. His findings have helped enhance the CCTNS application with respect to common application vulnerabilities and business logic security issues. He actively participates in different Bug-Bounty Platforms; He has successfully identified and been rewarded for finding security vulnerabilities in 100+ web applications like Google , Twitter , Ebay , Yahoo , Microsoft amongst others. He also volunteers for few Cyber Security NGOs and support them in creating a safer cyber environment.

Ashutosh is a profound security professional with seven years of experience and an interest in Application( Web , Android , IOS) and Network Security. Currently, he is working on the security architecture for applications and its infrastructure at Akamai Technologies and explores defensive aspects of application security.
