Cisco Launches Secured Storage-Server For The Enterprise

Server

Cisco rolled out two new enterprise solutions – the S-Series in the Unified Computing System (UCS) portfolio and the AMP (Advanced Malware Protection) for Endpoints.

The UCS S-Series is a new storage-optimized server category in Cisco UCS portfolio. It is designed specifically to address the needs of data intensive workloads such as Big Data, and for  deploying software-defined storage, object storage, and data protection solutions.

The UCS S- Series can handle the rapid growth of unstructured data created by the Internet of Things, video, mobility, collaboration and analytics so that businesses can access and analyze data quickly to generate insights in real time.

The other solution is the Cisco AMP (Advanced Malware Protection) for Endpoints which is launched at the company’s annual partner conference- Cisco Partner Summit. It combines prevention, detection and response to simplify endpoint security, allowing customers to do away with ineffective prevention-only strategies and response in one SaaS-deployed, cloud-managed solution.

By leveraging the scale and power of the cloud and Cisco’s threat-centric security architecture, AMP for Endpoints allows customers to anticipate and prevent threats more rapidly with ease.

Cisco’s threat-centric security architecture enables the customers to get more from existing security investments, increasing capability while decreasing complexity. Like other Cisco security products, AMP for Endpoints shares and correlates threat information across the entire architecture, both the AMP ecosystem and other Cisco security platforms.
