CXOToday has engaged in an exclusibe interview with Mr. Prateek Shukla, Co-founder and CEO, Masai School

  1. How will Generative AI help employers select the most suitable candidates by democratizing talent?

All organizations aspire to attract and retain top-tier talent. New technologies like generative AI help in optimizing several aspects of the recruitment processes and improve employee retention. In the last decade, artificial intelligence and machine learning have enabled enterprises to reduce biases. Thus, ensuring the best candidate is selected for a particular position. Customized pre-screening questions for an opening, and the first round of interviews with virtual assistants have significantly reduced the HR spending of MNCs. AI has great potential in talent acquisition, by abiding by the ethical frameworks, upskilling of talent as well as recruiters and also maintaining a balance between automation and human interaction. Organizations have now realized and need to harness the benefits of generative AI while nurturing a future-ready and inclusive workforce.

  1. Gen AI is shaping the learners, careers, jobs and hiring in totality, thereby addressing the tech hiring market on a macro-level

In the dynamic landscape of today’s job market, Gen AI plays a significant role in shaping the future of employment. The technology has garnered attention not only from enthusiasts in the tech domain but also researchers across industries. Most importantly, it has made inroads into the education sector, imparting lasting impacts on modern-day learners amid a dynamic hiring environment. Generative AI is becoming a valuable advantage within technical fields like software development, engineering, and data science. Expertise in predictive learning and efficient use of codes not only amplifies the conceptual knowledge but also pushes the user to be more creative in their solutions. As businesses advance in their digital transformations, the need for tech-savvy professionals remains higher than the available workforce. Gen AI has the capability to enhance the efficiency of technical teams by reducing the time allocated to monotonous duties and also has the potential to address the prevailing skills scarcity within the industry.

  1. In contrast to the general sentiment of threatening jobs, Generative AI is enhancing tech roles and removing the fear of getting replaced

The revolutionary technology has already triggered transformations in a variety of industries, and the impact of generative AI has profound implications for professionals. Previously time-consuming and repetitive tasks can now be automated, freeing up crucial time for advanced cognitive thinking and inventive problem-solving. It must be viewed as a stepping stone to advancement rather than a substitute. Through the automation of repetitive operations, generative AI allows individuals to focus their energies on more complex jobs that require specialised expertise. Given this viewpoint, organisations should create an environment in which people are encouraged to improve and learn new abilities, allowing them to strengthen human-machine collaboration, foster growth, and expand opportunities.

  1. How are Gen AI-enabled courses add value to a futuristic workforce?

One of the most remarkable opportunities that Generative AI presents is the- limitless scope for optimising human creativity. Generative AI technologies can help tackle a major problem in concept competitions: combining or merging a large number of ideas to produce much stronger ones. By incorporating Gen AI into learning, businesses may generate more value across multiple domains while improving employee efficiency and effectiveness. The goal is to provide learners with advanced technical skills and to develop a workforce that is well-prepared for the future. In an increasingly competitive job market where organizations strive to attract and retain high-caliber talent, the inability to provide employees with critical education and training for their growth is a huge disadvantage.

  1. How is GenAI enhancing the capabilities of entry-level tech talent?

Before Gen AI took the world by storm, hiring partners expected freshers to start at SDE Level-1, and then as they grow and learn, they reached SDE Level 2 and upwards. However, with the onset of Gen AI, companies are looking to hire only a hands-on workforce from Day 1 of their joining. Therefore, now when HR partners are coming to hire, they expect the fresher to be at least at an SDE Level- 1.5. The shift in hiring preferences further intensifies the competition in the job market, which is anyway under stress due to factors like funding winter.
