Insights from Rajesh Shah, MD & Chairman of Eurobond

  1. Please give a brief about Eurobond and its product & services

Eurobond is a leading Aluminium Composite Panels Brand in India, operating under the company Euro Panel Products Limited. We’ve been in the business since 2002 and were one of the first Indian brands to introduce ACP to India. Since then, we’ve established ourselves as a leader in the industry, thanks to our focus on Quality, Authenticity, and Service.

Over the past decade, we’ve achieved immense success by providing high-quality, long-lasting panels and a pan-India Distribution Network that ensures we satisfy customers across India. Also contributing to the movement of “Make in India, Make for the World”, we’re exporting our panels to more than 10 countries across the world. Our products include Aluminium Composite Panels, Aluminium HPL, Zinc Composite Panels, Fire Retardant Panels, EUROCORE-Aluminium Core Composite Panels, and EUROCOMB-Aluminium Honeycomb Panels. We take great pride in offering over 300 designs across 20 product ranges, ensuring that we can meet the diverse needs of our customers.

  1. What technology do you use to manufacture Eurobond ACP sheets, and how does it differ from other ACP sheet manufacturers?

At Eurobond, we’re very proud of the technology we use to manufacture our ACP sheets. We use Aluminium Alloy 3003 instead of standard Alloy 1100 ensuring more strength, flexibility, and bonding, unlike other ACP manufacturers. The use of Alloy 3003 ensures high strength and an increase in the life of the ACP. Also, Alloy 3003 provides high-impact resistance and easy maintenance. We follow an in-house testing lab and strict quality-controlled production using high-quality testing parameters at all times, as per the ISO 9001-2015 system. This means that all the raw materials and finished goods go through more than 50 advanced tests, ensuring that we maintain consistent high-quality output for our clients.

We’re committed to providing our clients with the best possible experience, which is why we’ve invested in rigorous quality checks that help us ensure that our products meet the highest industry standards. Eurobond is also compliant and certified by TUV Nord, Exova Warringtonfire, and other third-party industry-relevant certifications. So, you can trust that when you choose Eurobond, you’re choosing a brand that keeps quality and compliance as the highest priority..

  1. Can you describe any recent technological advancements you have made in Eurobond ACP sheet production?

We always thrive to improve our ACP sheet production, so we can provide our clients with the best possible experience. We were the first brand in India to install the Conical Extruder ACP Machine in India. This was the first of its kind in the country. It works on the direct compositing of raw materials which ensures excellent flatness and durability. Conical Extruders coupled with direct compositing and other automated processes have helped us double our production capacity.

We were also the first Indian ACP company to have an in-house unit for the production of Aluminium Honeycomb Panels – the latest technological development in the facade industry. These lightweight,  fire-retardant, and completely recyclable Panels are the future of the industry.

Our other design advancement has been our exclusive collaboration with EURAMAX, the world’s coil coating leader, to bring high-quality surface coils to India. This association has helped us bring the best of the world to India, giving our clients access to cutting-edge technology and materials. We are very proud of this collaboration and believe it’s just one of the many ways we’re continuing to innovate in our industry. And our efforts haven’t gone unnoticed: in 2022, Eurobond was recognized as the Most Trusted ACP Brand and as the Quality Excellence Leader by the ET Ascent Star of the Industry Awards. This is a testament to our commitment to quality and innovation, and we’re thrilled to have received such prestigious recognition.

  1. How do you incorporate sustainability and environmental concerns into your Eurobond ACP sheet manufacturing technology?

It is very important to us to ensure that our ACP sheet manufacturing technology is sustainable and environmentally friendly. We believe that it’s important to take care of the planet while we create innovative products for our clients. That’s why we’ve made a conscious effort to reduce our carbon footprint and minimize our impact on the environment.

We use recycled products in the manufacturing of our panels, and as all our products are long-lasting, durable, and last for decades, they lead to lesser construction waste. Our panels are also 100% recyclable, leading to a positive impact on the environment.

Along with that, we also follow sustainability as a manufacturing practice. For instance, we’ve installed a 500KW capacity solar plant at our manufacturing unit, which offsets 20% of our factory’s average monthly energy consumption. We’re very proud of this investment, as it helps us reduce our reliance on non-renewable energy sources and do our part to combat climate change. We also believe in sustainable production practices, which is why our state-of-the-art facility located in Umbergaon, Gujarat has a production capacity of 20,000 sq. m.t. We’re always looking for ways to improve our manufacturing processes and minimize our impact on the environment. For us, sustainability isn’t just a buzzword; it’s a core value that we live by every day.

  1. How do you anticipate technological advancements will impact the Indian manufacturing industry in the next 5 years?

As someone who’s been in the Indian manufacturing industry for many years, I’m very excited about the technological advancements that are on the horizon. I believe that technology will play a crucial role in the future of the Indian manufacturing industry, and we’re already seeing some incredible developments that are changing the game.

Within our organization, we are also focusing on digital transformation exercises where we pay attention to every vertical to identify the digital changes we can bring which enable our organization to become more competitive, increase revenues and increase customer satisfaction.

In the next 5 years, I anticipate that we’ll see a lot more automation and digitization in manufacturing processes. This will help us increase efficiency, reduce waste, and create better products for our clients. I also believe that we’ll see an increased emphasis on sustainability, with more companies looking for ways to reduce their environmental impact. Another area where I think we’ll see a lot of growth is in the use of AI and machine learning. These technologies can help us analyze data more effectively and make better decisions, which can lead to significant improvements in quality, speed, and efficiency.
